Pachyonychia
Blank, British
Journal of Dermatology (1982),2156
reported his experience with PHT in treating a patient with pachyonychia.
The patient had been
incapacitated by blisters and erosions of her feet and hands, and painful
lesions in her mouth.
She was treated with
oral PHT with dramatic results. She became able to walk for many blocks.
Although many of the hyperkeratotic lesions persisted, her mouth and hands
were greatly improved. After three years of this treatment she felt so
well that she planned to marry.
